Fabulous New Year’s Eve Party at Bath Pump Rooms, bringing in the new year in style!
WOW, what an event! As always, it was an absolute pleasure to perform for this prestigious event in the magnificent Bath Pump Rooms. The atmosphere was amazing and it was great to welcome in 2013 with such lovely people.
Those of us in the quartet did our usual set of classy dinner jazz during the dinner and this went down an absolute storm as everyone sang along and even enjoyed some dancing in between courses! We were delighted to play some special requests and ‘Congratulations’ to a lovely couple who were recently engaged and who have now booked us to play for their wedding in August!
After the dinner, one of our DJ’s got the party underway in the main room whilst another of our DJ’s continued his music in another room.
As soon as Dancin’ Easy came on stage the dance floor was packed and everyone began the exciting build up to the new year! What fun we had! We even enlisted the services of ‘Duncan’ who agreed to be the official time-keeper for the evening. Bless him, he did such a great job counting down the final minutes as we played ‘Midnight Hour’ until we all counted down the final ten seconds into 2013! With the sound of cheering, party poppers and ‘Auld Lang Syne’, we welcomed in the new year with happiness and excitement.
The party then continued into the early hours, with two encores being required before handing back to the DJ for the final half hour.
Wow, what a night! Thanks to everyone who came along, you made it such a fabulous evening. Thanks as always to all the staff from Bath Pump Rooms, it is always a pleasure working with you.
