Wow, wow, wow, the National Star College Midsummer Night’s Ball really was an amazing event!
From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a great night. The very impressive marquee was decorated beautifully with twinkling fairy lights and a whole array of trees, leaves, butterflies and all manor of things relating to the Midsummer Nights theme.
The Cheltenham Face Painters (cheltenhamfacepainting.co.uk) were busy doing their fabulous art work on all the guests and everyone was looking amazing! Kim and Becky couldn’t resist the temptation to partake in a little body art themselves and so it was butterflies on the face, flowers up the arm and bluebirds and flowers on the back! Perfect, and all proceeds from the face painting went to the National Star College, together with proceeds from the auction (in which all the guests donated very generously).
Once the party got under way, it was just non stop dancing and partying all night! The band played right through from 10.30pm â 1.00am, nobody wanted us to stop and we were enjoying ourselves! It was great to see so many happy people enjoying our music, including fabulous interior designer Laurence Llewelyn Bowen, âEmbarrassing Bodies Dr Dawn Harper and rugby legend Phil Vickery MBE. Wow, what an absolute pleasure and honour to perform for such a fabulous group of people and all for such a worthy cause.
Twitter went mad after the event with everyone tweeting to say what a fabulous night it had been. We were thrilled to receive such lovely feedback and to have been referred to as #thebestbandintown and to read Laurence Llewelyn Bowens tweet that said lovely dancey evening.
What more could we ask for. We really do LOVE our job!
Thanks to everyone who was there and thanks also to Holly from the Star College for booking us and for making sure the event ran smoothly on the night. Holly, you did an amazing job, well done!
We certainly hope to see you all again next year!
