Dancin’ Easy returned once again to stunning Bath Pump Rooms for their Grand New Year’s Eve Ball. As always it was a fabulous night!
During the dinner our Jazz Quartet led by saxophonist and vocalist Kim Cypher performed a great selection of well known music. The diners couldn’t help themselves…they were drawn to the dance floor during courses to dance to the wonderful music. Even the waiting staff were thoroughly enjoying their service whilst tapping their feet and singing along. There were even some spontaneous performances around the tables for a variety of birthdays and special occasions. It really was a fabulous affair and some amazing feedback from many of the guests.
Following dinner everyone hit the dance floor as Dancin’ Easy got a great party atmosphere started ready for the countdown to the new year. At 11.55pm everyone sang along to a rendition of ‘Midnight Hour’ and then the countdown began into 2016! At the strike of midnight everyone danced and sang along to ‘Auld Lang Syne’ and there was the most wonderful, excited atmosphere as everyone greeted friends and strangers, passing on new year wishes.
The party didn’t end there though! Dancin’ Easy continued with an energetic set of popular songs including ‘Mr Brightside’ by The Killers, Bon Jovi’s ‘Living On A Prayer’, ‘Uptown Funk’, ‘Sex On Fire’, ‘Chelsea Dagger’, a spot of Paolo Nutini, Fleur East’s ‘Sax’ and even a bit of Blues Brothers to finish. The DJ then carried the party on until 1.30am.
It really was an AWESOME night!
Thanks to so many of our friends and followers who joined us there and who have already said they’ll be returning again next year. Thanks also to everyone else who came along. It was great to meet you all and to see so many familiar faces from previous years.
Thanks for all your lovely comments and for being so much fun!
As always, our thanks to all the staff at Bath Pump Rooms and Searcy’s for the wonderful food.
