How much do you charge? Are there any other charges above and beyond the quoted price?
This is the first thing most people want to know, so we thought we would answer it first. The answer is: it depends. Our rates are set according to the type and date of event, playing times, arrival and finish times, distance to travel and size / line up of the band required. The price we quote will be the price you pay. We will never pass any 'by-the-way' charges on to you, ever.
How do we check your availability, get a quote and book the band?
There are 3 ways. The most simple is to give us a call on 07973 765123 and speak to Mike or Kim, discuss the arrangements, we'll give you a quote and if you are happy we'll issue a contract confirming the booking. Send it back with a deposit payment and we're all set. The second option is to complete our contact form. This gives us all the information we need to give you a quote. Alternatively, just e-mail us at: firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then contact you to discuss things.
How can we hear what you sound like and do you play everything 'live'?
Dancin' Easy has some sound and video clips that we hope will show you that we really can perform to the standard we say we can. We play all the instruments 'live', there are no sythesizers or backing tracks. Just go to the Music/Video page to listen to the clips.
Are you experienced in performing at wedding receptions?
Definitely, Dancin' Easy has performed for many hundreds of weddings and our testimonials speak for themselves.
Will you learn a special song for us if it is not already on your song list?
Yes, if you would like Dancin' Easy to play a special request for your event we will be happy to learn the song for you, please give us at least 30 days notice.
How are bookings confirmed?
Dancin' Easy provides a written contract to confirm all details of the booking.
What are your payment requirements?
Dancin' Easy requires a deposit payment (usually £250) upon return of the signed booking contract. The balance is payable either in cash on the day of the event or by cheque 10 days prior to the booking.
How long do you require to set up?
Dancin' Easy usually requires approximately 1 hour to set up. We try and set up well before the event begins and people arrive. Sometimes the timing of the event prevents this but as soon as the room is available we are there. It is necessary for the band to carry out a 'sound check' to ensure the sound quality and volume level is appropriate for the room and guests.
How much space do you need?
The more space we can have the better, however our minimum requirements are a flat area approximately 20 feet wide by 10 feet deep.
How much power do you need?
Dancin' Easy requires at least two UK standard electrical sockets from which we can obtain a safe and adequate power supply.
Do you take breaks and can you provide music during the breaks?
Dancin' Easy will take a break between each 'live' set, during which time we are able to play either CD or iPod music through the PA system at no additional charge. For an additional charge, we are able to provide a disco and DJ.
Do you require changing facilities?
Dancin' Easy requires a lockable changing room, ideally with a mirror and bathroom facilities and large enough for 6 people. However, if this is not possible, we can discuss alternative options with you.
Do you require refreshments?
Refreshments are always appreciated, especially as we can be at a venue for up to 8 hours and sometimes longer.
Do you have adequate insurance cover?
Dancin' Easy has Public Liability Insurance cover for £5,000,000. Many venues will not allow bands to perform unless they have adequate insurance. We are happy to provide a copy of our insurance certificate upon request.
Is all your electrical equipment safe?
All our electrical equipment is fully PAT tested by an approved electrical contractor and has been passed as safe. We are happy to provide a copy of our certificate upon request.
Do you play at venues with sound limitation devices?
Dancin' Easy is happy to consider playing at such venues, however, please make us aware of this at the time of the booking.
